Horrible episode again, Barely anything happened other then the stupid plan they have been building up for the past 15 episodes going to crap in a matter of seconds.

Really hate how Usopp is still so cowardly even after the 2 year time skip arc, I mean come on why couldn't he just shoot the damn ball of hot sauce into her mouth? He is the sharpshooter after all and he needs a reason to be in the crew other then being bad comedic relief.

Honestly, during this whole arc Usopp has felt like he's regressed back to his attitude from early in the show. I mean, cowardice to some degree is part of his character and that doesn't seem like it's going to change anytime soon but ever since New World, or even Water 7/Enies Lobby, he's been noticeably more confident and that development seems to be being completely ignored here.

Also, I get that they're trying to incapacitate Sugar and not kill her but couldn't Robin just generate arms on Sugar and use them to knock her out?

Nope, because then Sugar could easily turn her into a toy by touching one of her limbs.

^Fair point but if Sugar's not expecting it, I don't think she'd be able to react quickly enough or as a precaution Robin could bind her arms. Maybe I'm reaching but either way, I just think there were a lot of other ways they could have gone about this than depending on her eating the Tatababasco berry.

They could have but the plan was created just for the dwarves. Can't really see another way for them to handle it. Usopp and Robin weren't a part of this plan.

Usopp and Robin aren't really involved too much into what's going on, so their help is really marginal.

Something actually happened in this episode, Zoro vs stone is kinda awkward to see though. Trebol and Sugar are funny, Trebol just seems to be kinda dumb xD

Well then, doesn't seem like Trebol knows the definition of overkill...

Loa G is just trashing soldier.

man, sugar's ain't fuckin around with the little people, just gonna make them kill each other.

Ussop just seems to be concerned with himself even though the little people are in trouble.

Trebol threw an entire ship at the tower. a bit overkill? probably but i was awesome nonetheless.

Pica feels like he’d be an incredible video game boss fight. In a way he kinda reminds me of mom from the Binding of Isaac, albeit very different in design. This frightening creature attacking and morphing from all sides is just so much fun. I particularly loved when Zoro recognized Pica was going for a surprise attack and got all zen, waiting, sensing and reacting to cut him apart. But my favorite part was after that when Pica’s eyes formed on the floor below Zoro as he swung up to crush him. Chilling and awesome. He does appear as though he is stuck with limited creations as I think he is morphing his own body with the stone especially with his eyes pertaining to all the creations. In the beginning I thought this was a war of attrition, Zoro would get more tired as it went on until he was susceptible to Pica’s attacks. Yet, we know devil fruit usage can make you exhausted, we saw that with Law earlier, so Pica has ought to be using energy too, and in my mind I wonder if haki would hurt his stone creations. This may not be as bad as it looks.

Soldier did appear on the first level of the palace while he continued to get a beating and this means he is on the floor Luffy and Kin’emon are heading towards, and I think we see Luffy carrying him in the opening, so this doesn’t have to exclusively be soldier/Tontatta versus Lao G. We can expect Luffy saving him if he can’t handle this himself.

The rest of this episode was quite the focus on the Trebol and Sugar plotline. It filled out two of the opening moments we haven’t seen yet, Robin being caught by Trebol and the Tontatta being transformed, and we got a nice look into the enslaved Tontatta themselves. What we saw was quite horrific, the Don Quixote goons literally manipulate them as if they were children by telling them what they are doing is for the sake of their princess and feigning care. Later when Sugar showed that she was far more capable than they gave her credit for, stopping the plan and even remarking that they thought she was weak, she showed that she is eager to manipulate the Tontatta as well.

The attempt was strong. Robin noted Trebol’s accuracy so they arranged a plan to separate him from Sugar and it worked in the beginning. Be it Usopp or Robin’s plan, Robin lured Trebol away. The second I saw her alone with Trebol I had hoped she used a clone or else it would have been a suicide mission. I started to doubt that as she ran in the end but she proved that she can handle herself! What this turned into however was a frantic scramble. With the Tontatta turned against each other, Doflamingo-esque, and Trebol tossing a ship into the tower, he further knows that the Straw Hats are in the underground, something Doflamingo doubted, and therefore he should be alerted too. Things can only get worse the longer it takes to deal with this which means, Usopp, it’s your time to shine man. That said, this being a crucial step in the plan to overthrow Doflamingo means I can only imagine it will be as difficult as possible. That may mean another Usopp and friends 2v1 fight, which if it’s anything like Alabasta, then Usopp’s already been in pre-timeskip character to make it as awesome as ever regarding his cowardice.

As unassuming both Sugar and Trebol looked, seeing them in action was really cool and intimidating! I also liked how Robin had the opportunity to put her espionage skills to good use once again.

This feels like Usopp's lowest point since Water 7. Dude boasted aboout about no longer being one of the weak ones, yet he is completely set on not fighting. He hasn't even been going through ideas in his head on how to lay traps or anything. Beyond useless at a time where he could really shine with the assisstance of the Tontatta's. What happened to his entire garden of plant balls for ever situation?!

Okay Usopp time to come up big now. All that training you need to put in the work now. We know Zoro will come up clutch. Just need you too now

Also I feel like slimey guy throwing a boat to the room with the girl who makes toys is kind of dumb on his side. But we shall see
